OGDEN ETR Temperature Controls use leading edge surface mount and microprocessor technologies to produce the most powerful, rugged, reliable and economical controls available. All OGDEN microprocessor controls feature Smarter Logic®. An ETR control with Smarter Logic continuous decision making will prevent initial overshoot and set point differentials due to process disturbances. Ogden offers a broad range of temperature sensors to meet virtually any contact temperature sensing requirement. Temperature sensors are integral components of all Thermal Systems. The sensor provides the feedback or input to the control that determines if the heat source should be on or off. MgO Insulated or Medium Duty thermocouples and RTD's are the three types of sensors shown. The OGDEN selection of Band Heaters leaves no cylindrical surface heating question without an answer. Flexible Heaters conform to unique shapes and patterns. The thin profile produces excellent heat transfer. Flexible heaters are adaptable to many applications in many industries. Medical, laboratory and food service equipment and aerospace instrumentation are among thousands of possible applications. A mica core produces a thin, efficient heater. Heat from the precisely wound Nichrome element is quickly transferred to the working surface for fast heat-up and response. Mica provides excellent dielectric strength and heat transfer capability for long heater life. The mica core is encased in a continuous corrosion resistant sheath and formed. All full mica band heaters are designed with closed ends to protect against contamination.

Infrared Heating

Infrared Heating

Infrared heating is a heating method used to warm surrounding bodies by infrared radiation. Thermal energy is transferred directly to a body with a lower temperature through electromagnetic waves in the infrared region...

Radiant Heaters

Radiant Heaters

Radiant heaters are systems that generate heat internally and then radiate it to the nearby objects and people. The sun is a basic example of a radiant heater. When we feel warm on our bodies on a sunny day...

Heating Elements

Heating Elements

A heating element is a material or device that directly converts electrical energy into heat or thermal energy through a principle known as Joule heating. Joule heating is the phenomenon where a conductor generates heat due to the flow of electric current...

Electric Heaters

Electric Heaters

Electric heating is produced by using a known resistance in an electric circuit. This placed resistance has very few free electrons in it so it does not conduct electric current easily through it. When there is resistance in...

Immersion Heaters

Immersion Heaters

An immersion heater is a fast, economical, and efficient method for heating liquids in tanks, vats, or equipment. Known as bayonet heaters, they have heating elements that can be directly inserted into a container of water, oil, or other material in order to heat the entire contents...

Temperature Sensors

Temperature Sensors

Temperature sensors are devices that detect and measure coolness and hotness and convert it into an electrical signal. Temperature sensors are utilized in our daily lives, be it in the form of domestic water heaters...
