A warehouse heater is a system used to heat a warehouse. There are many different commercial heaters for warehouse facilities. These heating systems fall into two main categories: warm air heating and radiant heating systems. When choosing the best heating system for your warehouse, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons of each type of heating system. Read More…

Warehouse Heaters Manufacturers List

Types of Warehouse Heaters
The different types of warehouse heaters include:
Warm Air Heating
Warm air heating systems are one of the most common warehouse heating solutions available on the market. In these systems, the heaters warm the air inside the warehouse facility. The warm air then heats the workers and products to a comfortable level for working.

Warehouse heaters work by drawing air over a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger heats the air to a specified temperature. Then the warmed air is distributed around the warehouse facility space using a fan.
The warmed air is evenly distributed throughout the entire facility to maintain consistent temperatures. There are many various types of warm air heating systems. These heaters have three main categories: indirect-fired, direct-fired, and electric elements.
Direct-Fired Heaters
Direct-fired heaters are powered by either gas or oil. The fuel burns within the body of the heater to create warm air, similar to a gas grill. On these heaters, the flame has direct contact with the air. The air drawn into the unit is put through the flame. This flame then warms up the air. Some warehouse heaters can be suspended from the ceiling, mounted on the wall, or stood on the floor. Floor space must be considered when deciding the best location for the heater.
Indirect-Fired Unit Heaters
Indirect-fired unit heaters work in the same manner as a furnace. The oil or gas powering the heater creates a flame in the burn chamber. The flame heats up the heat exchanger. The air drawn into the heater passes over the heat exchanger. This heat exchanger will warm up the air before forcing it out into the warehouse space. Indirect-fired warehouse heaters can use gas or oil as their sole energy source.
The air will never come into direct contact with the flame with indirect-fired heaters. These heating units require floor space to be used. To save space, they can be mounted on the top of the warehouse or outside the building and vent warm air inside.
Electric Element Unit Heaters
Electric element unit heaters work similarly to the warm air heating systems. They use a heat exchanger or a coil warmed by an electric source. The air is drawn into the heater and passes over the heat exchanger. This process warms up the air and redistributes it back into the warehouse.

Electric element heating systems can be mounted in any location. They only need electricity for operation and don’t require hook-ups to gas or oil. These heaters are usually installed on the ceiling to eliminate the need for precious floor space.
Radiant Heaters
Radiant heating systems are utilized in some select warehouses. They work by suspending radiant tubes or plaque heaters that emit infrared radiation. Unlike warm air heating systems, these heaters warm the surfaces that come into contact with them. These heaters are suspended from the ceiling to emit heat downwards in a triangular expansion. Radiant heaters provide a large amount of heat in a down and outward direction.
Benefits of Warehouse Heaters
